This year has presented many challenges for Europe. Once again, war rages on European soil with no end in sight. Millions of Ukrainians have fled their homeland and those who remain live under constant threat to their health, safety, and freedom. Economic, political, and social unrest dominate the headlines. And, as the cost for basic utilities like heat and electricity continue to skyrocket, many Europeans face a winter of uncertainty where a warm, well-lit home is no longer a given.

Times like these make it seem like God is absent. The good news of the gospel, however, proclaim that the opposite is true. Underneath the surface of our circumstances, God is always present, working and moving in our midst. However, unless we take the time to look, we might just miss it. So as the year comes to an end, we want to look back and celebrate God being present and at work in the cities of Europe.
